Craig Glidden

Craig Glidden is chief legal officer for LyondellBasell, one of the world’s largest olefins, polyolefins, chemicals and refining companies. He is based in Houston, Texas.

Glidden was most recently senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company. Prior to joining Chevron Phillips Chemical, he was in private law practice focusing on the litigation and arbitration of complex commercial disputes.

Glidden began his legal career in 1983 as an associate with Shackleford, Farrior, Stallings & Evans in Tampa, Florida. In 1988, he joined Beirne, Maynard & Parsons LLP, where he became a partner specializing in energy and commercial litigation. In 1996, he formed his own law firm, Glidden Partners LLP. He is the author of two multi-volume treatises on commercial litigation in Texas.

Glidden received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Tulane University in 1980, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He obtained a juris doctor degree with high honors from Florida State University in 1983, where he served as editor-in-chief and managing editor of the Florida State University Law Review. He is licensed to practice in Texas and Florida, and is a member and past Chair of The General Counsel Forum.
