Karyn Ovelmen is chief financial officer for LyondellBasell, one of the world’s largest olefins, polyolefins, chemicals and refining companies. She has oversight of the global Finance organization including Controllers, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis as well as Information Technology.
Ovelmen most recently served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Petroplus Holdings AG, Europe's largest independent refiner and wholesaler of petroleum products. She also served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Argus Atlantic Energy, the predecessor to Petroplus.
Prior to that, Ovelmen served as Vice President of External Reporting and Investor Relations for The Premcor Refining Group Inc. She also spent 12 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, primarily serving the energy industry.
Ovelmen received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
