With commercial operations based in Milan, LyondellBasell’s manufacturing sites in Italy include:
- Terni - 250 KT per year of polypropylene (PP) produced using the Spheripol technology
- Brindisi – Two production lines totaling 400 KT of PP per year, using the Spheripol technology and the latest Spherizone process technology, respectively
- Ferrara - 180 KT per of PP using Spheripol technology; 105 KT per year of advanced copolymers produced by the Catalloy process plant
The Giulio Natta Research Center in Ferrara is dedicated to the development of new and enhanced polyolefin catalysts, processes and products for our customers that deliver value. Through LyondellBasell’s R&D efforts, the company continues to build on its tradition of innovation following a heritage brought forward from predecessor companies that encompasses nearly every major development in polyolefins.
