Producers of soft and rigid panels and profiles can select from a wide range of specialty PE, PP, TPOs and compounded base resins from LyondellBasell. Customers use the materials in building and construction applications such as large, injection-molded panels, or in the automotive sector, where aesthetics and unique technical performance is required.
Catalloy process polypropylene resins such as Softell and Hifax provide soft, plasticizer-free options for the production of profiles. Rigid PP, PE and compounded products such as Hostalen resins offer base grades with a good balance of stiffness and impact properties. Key features of the company’s grades used in panels and profiles include excellent processing on PVC lines with high output; good low and high-temperature properties, resistance to microorganism growth; on-line coloring; low density and outstanding adhesion to rigid PP and TPV.
Lupolen 3621 M RM is used by customers in the production of rotationally molded complex technical parts such as panels for industrial cleaning machines, which require a good density and impact balance, and high creep and stress cracking resistance (ESCR).
