Pipe fitting producers select LyondellBasell’s Hostalen polyethylene, polypropylene and Polybutene-1 (PB-1) resins* to take advantage of the excellent creep strength, chemical resistance and weldability they deliver.
Fittings for butt welding, electrofusion welding or socket welding are moulded using our Hostalen and PB-1 resins.
Customer mechanical-joint compression fittings that meet ISO14236 standards are produced using Hostalen PP. These resins provide the required balance of stiffness and impact strength, along with excellent internal pressure resistance and good UV-resistance.
Our PB-1 resins are selected by push-fit fittings manufacturers for use in flexible plumbing systems.
