LyondellBasell markets a range of polypropylene resins under the trademarks Moplen and Pro-fax used by customers in starter, traction and stationary battery cases.
These resins can meet the demanding functional requirements of a variety of batteries, including fork lift and emergency batteries. In addition, Moplen and Pro-fax polypropylene resins include mechanical properties such as:
- good dimensional and heat stability
- high impact resistance
- good weldability
Grades can be formulated to address specific requirements such as:
- extended heat stabilisation resistance
- enhanced stress whitening resistance
LyondellBasell’s production plants that manufacture polypropylene grades used in automotive applications meet ISO TS 16949 standards.
