LyondellBasell's resins are used by customers in exterior automotive applications due to their low thermal expansion and good rigidity combined with high impact resistance, even at low temperatures. With a wide range of high melt flow indexes available, these resins can facilitate the moulding of large, thin-walled components for use in painted and moulded-in-colour exterior trim.
In addition to applications in which cladding is securely anchored to a metal substrate such as side cladding, our resins are used in exterior parts including front grilles, mirrors, wheel covers, roof trim or integrated and painted rocker panels.
LyondellBasell's resins can be used to produce co-injection components from different but compatible materials in a single operation - combining a rigid structure with a body-hugging seal into one component.
