The Clyde Plant is located 20 km west of Sydney in New South Wales. The plant produces polypropylene, a base material used in the manufacture of countless goods and products that enhance the quality of life for people around the world. LyondellBasell is a global leader in polyolefins and the only manufacturer of polypropylene in Australia.

The Clyde Plant was commissioned in 1991 and has an annual capacity of 170,000 tonnes of polypropylene (PP). The plant uses modern gas phase technology and LyondellBasell catalysts to produce a wide range of homopolymer, impact copolymer and random copolymer PP grades.

Polypropylene pellets are packaged in either 20-tonne bulk containers, 1,000 kg bags or in 25 kg bags and sold to plastic product manufacturers in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, China, Northern Asia, Indochina and India.

Customer applications of our products include automotive parts, industrial components, domestic appliance components, furniture, rigid and flexible packaging, housewares and blow moulded products.
