Community Involvement
Cincinnati Technology Center>

We recognize that being a socially responsible member of the community requires maintaining an open door for dialogue with our community and actively working to support community needs.

Explore & Experiment. Through LyondellBasell’s Explore & Experiment program, our employee volunteers offer hands-on science activities to local classrooms, libraries, camps and Scout meetings.

We also offer area teachers science-training workshops that help them use our Explore & Experiment curriculum in the classroom.

Global Care Day. Thousands of our employees, worldwide, work to make a difference in the world by joining this annual community-service day.

This year, about 50 employees volunteered at Armco Park to install fresh landscaping, plant new flower beds, transplant trees and bushes, repair fences and construct a new swing set at the 300-acre facility.

Past projects have included landscaping and clearing brush at Winton Woods Park and constructing exercise sets and children’s play sets in Landen Deerfield Park.

Philanthropy. Our employees open their hearts and wallets to support local organizations. For example, they generously support local community-service agencies through an annual United Way payroll-pledge campaign.

Volunteerism. We encourage our employees’ active engagement in the local community. Collectively, they spend hundreds of hours each month in volunteer service. They serve as firefighters, police officers, volunteer emergency-medical technicians, science-fair judges, referees, Scout leaders and coaches.
