The Newtown Square Center serves as a research and development center for the company’s chemicals and fuels businesses, as well as a commercial office for our North American Polymers business. The R&D work focuses on improving technologies used to ultimately manufacture raw materials for consumer end products such as plastics, furniture foams, athletic footwear, paints, cosmetics, fabrics, gasoline and more. Efforts are concentrated on safer, cleaner and more efficient chemical processes for our existing and new chemical manufacturing facilities around the world. Very small scale modeling of large scale chemical manufacturing operations allows us to conduct research safely, efficiently and in an environmentally sound manner.
Commitment to Social Responsibility
Our commitment to sustainable prosperity balances our responsibility to provide economic value for our stakeholders, while respecting the social concerns of the community in which we operate and demonstrating care for the environment around us.
Providing Economic Value
Our site is a significant contributor to the local economy by providing skilled jobs, by purchasing millions of dollars in local goods and services and by paying taxes to support local schools and government services. Our Newtown Square Center has long been an important asset to the community.
