We concentrate our giving on not-for-profit organizations that benefit a broad spectrum of the community and which address one of the criteria identified in our community relations focus areas.

Additionally, we believe that leveraging our financial contributions with the volunteer talents of our employees leads to a stronger, more vibrant relationship with our neighbors, so we give preference to projects that include employee involvement.

Organizations or activities that LyondellBasell will consider supporting financially include those that:

• Benefit pre-college education either through support of schools, enrichment of the educational experience for students, recognition and continuing education for educators or curriculum development
• Promote conservation, environmental education and sustainable development
• Encourage community sustainability, which includes projects that further solutions to community problems

Contributions that will NOT be considered include:

• Contributions to political, religious, labor and fraternal organizations
• Donations to cover travel expenses for individuals or groups, as well as donations benefiting an individual recipient
• Organizations that discriminate based on age, race, religion, color, sex, disability, national origin, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, or veteran status
• In most cases, organizations that are not directly involved in the communities where we operate

Contribution Requests

Because our financial resources are limited, we carefully review all appeals and grant support only to those organizations and activities that best meet our objectives. Contribution requests should be forwarded for review to the Corporate Communications department as listed below. All requests for contributions must be made in writing, with sufficient information provided to ensure proper evaluation and authenticity of the request. Please also include your evidence of tax exempt status.
