Finance

The program enables students to obtain hands on work experience by rotating into an array of functional teams within the Finance organization. The internship curriculum allows students to continuously develop, apply and strengthen skills required in a professional setting that will prepare for a full-time career.

Finance & Accounting

• Prepare financial information inclusive of income statements, balance sheets and statements of cash flow in both US GAAP and IFRS formats for internal and external presentations

• Provide accounting and problem-solving analysis in financial accounting and reporting, manufacturing and inventory accounting

• Perform account reconciliations, financial close and consolidation, cost accounting and fixed asset accounting

• Gain knowledge of SAP and other reporting software

Internal Audit

• Monitor, assess and analyze organizational risks and controls 

• Review and confirm information and compliance with policies, procedures and laws performing financial, information technology, compliance, contract and operational audits

• Determine scope of testing, perform management testing and participate in assessing internal controls for Sarbanes-Oxley 404 certificates

Tax

• Support the design, implementation and execution of tax planning and compliance processes

• Gain knowledge in income tax, property tax, sales and use tax and international tax

• Prepare sales and use tax returns

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Forecast specific business and company earnings and cash balances

• Provide financial analysis of business performance utilizing SAP and Business Warehouse tools

• Plan and implement the annual budget process

• Develop and own tools for evaluation of business and customer profitability
