Newark Plant parent LyondellBasell named one of the World’s Most Admired Companies

NEWARK, NJ.- Jan. 22, 2018 -- LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB), the operator of the Newark Plant in Newark, NJ, has been named to Fortune Magazine’s list of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” for 2018. This is a first-time achievement for LyondellBasell, one of the world’s largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies.
“Although we are a small group, we all take pride in this honor and how Newark employees contributed,” said Terry Mallory, the manager of LyondellBasell’s Newark Plant. “Our employees provide to the local economy, all support United Way and work safely and proficiently to produce household products the consumer uses every day.”

The list, which is voted on by industry peers, including executives, directors and financial analysts, sought feedback on the company’s performance in nine key areas – the ability to attract and retain talent, the quality of management, social responsibility, innovation, quality of products and services, use of corporate assets, financial soundness, long-term investment value and global competitiveness.
