Lyondell Chemical (NYSE:LYO) has put detailed information on its aircraft deicing and anti-icing fluids on the Internet. Available via either the "Products and Services" section of the company's web site-www.lyondell.com-or the newly launched www.deicers.com, the site is designed to serve as a resource for airlines, airport maintenance operations and blending facilities.

According to Glenn Cozzone, commercial manager for Lyondell's deicing and anti-icing fluids, aircraft deicing is a 24/7 operation. "Our customers needed a resource that would be available whenever they wanted it," he said. "So putting as much information as possible on the Internet was a logical way for us to help them."

Information provided on the company's propylene glycol (PG) based ARCOPlus® Type I deicing and SAFEWING Type IV anti-icing fluids includes physical properties, application recommendations, worker safety data, material data safety sheets (MSDSs), and a wealth of technical data.

Lyondell supplies a complete line of PG based aircraft deicing and anti-icing fluids in North America. These fluids offer worker safety advantages because propylene glycol is less toxic to humans and animals. The company supplies deicing fluids to many of the U.S. largest passenger and cargo carriers as well as FBO's (Fixed Based Operators).

The company is a leading worldwide manufacturer and marketer of propylene oxide and derivatives and other intermediate chemicals. Its products are used in a wide range of consumer goods including home furnishings, athletic equipment, personal care products, paints and coatings, automotive components, antifreeze and reformulated gasoline as well as in industrial, construction and mining applications.
