Large Contribution Will Help Fund Programs in the Area

LyondellBasell employees at the Victoria site raised over $39,000 for the Victoria County United Way during the 2012-13 campaign, including $19,600 in employee contributions with the balance matched by the company.  Employees recently presented United Way executives with a $19,600 matching grant from LyondellBasell.  

“LyondellBasell Victoria colleagues ran an outstanding campaign that included opportunities to have fun, to volunteer and make a difference in our community”, said Clifford Grimes, Victoria County United Way executive director. “This team understands what corporate generosity and involvement is all about.”

Supporting United Way has become a cornerstone tradition of LyondellBasell’s continued commitment of giving back to the community. The yearly campaign helps to fund programs in Victoria that people have come to rely upon.

“Our employees gave with their hearts and with the LyondellBasell company match we were able to double our commitment,” said David Schrutka, LyondellBasell Victoria site manager. “We are proud to partner with the Victoria County United Way in supporting our community.”
 
Nationally, LyondellBasell employees and the company contributed more than $1.9 million to United Way agencies in the 2012-13 campaign.
