WHAT: The 11th annual LyondellBasell Global Care Day is a worldwide community service initiative involving thousands of employee volunteers participating in 65 communities in 20 countries where the company has operations.
LyondellBasell’s Victoria Plant will lend a hand to the Perpetual Help Home in Victoria so that women and children in hardship will have a heightened sense of safety and security through renovations to the shelter. Approximately 65 volunteers will demolish and rebuild a privacy fence around the complex, renovate floors in 6 bedrooms and paint the walls. Kitchen outlets will be moved and rewired and the grounds will be landscaped.
WHO: Approximately 65 volunteers from LyondellBasell’s Victoria Plant including employees, family members and friends; and about 5 employees from Perpetual Help Home.
Perpetual Help Home is a permanent supported housing program helping women and their children in hardship circumstances such as recent release from prison or jail, serious substance-abuse problems, homelessness or domestic violence. It helps the women find a new life through job training, network building, and a focus on financial stability.
