Corpus Christi Complex

About

Our products are the basic building blocks for plastic bottles and bags, tires, antifreeze and nylons.

The Corpus Christi Complex produces ethylene, propylene and fuel products. Our facility produces basic chemical building blocks that our customers convert into consumer products. These include plastics for food packaging and containers, and antifreeze.

The Corpus Christi complex is located in northwest Corpus Christi between Interstate 37 and Highway 44. The plant is situated on 2,569 acres approximately 12 miles west of downtown Corpus Christi, Texas.

Performance Summary

Our commitment to sustainable growth balances our responsibility to provide economic value for our stakeholders, while respecting the social concerns of the community in which we operate and demonstrating care for the environment around us.

Providing Economic Value

Our site is a major economic engine for Nueces County by providing skilled jobs, by purchasing millions of dollars in local goods and services and by paying property taxes to support local schools and government services.

Employee volunteers have also participated in LyondellBasell's annual Global Care Day. The one-day community service initiative encourages company employees around the globe to come together on the same day each year to make a difference by participating in community service projects. Locally, these projects have involved improvements to the Ark Assessment Center and the atriums at Calallen and Tuloso-Midway High Schools.
