LyondellBasell employees at the Clinton Complex raised $95,000 for the United Way of Clinton County, Iowa for the 2012-13 campaign, including more than $47,000 in employee contributions with the remaining amount matched by the company. Employees presented United Way executives with a $47,000 matching grant from LyondellBasell.
“On behalf of United Way of Clinton County, I am honored to accept this check from LyondellBasell,” said Cheryl McCulloh, United Way of Clinton County executive director. “We appreciate the generous support for our communities and partner agencies that work diligently to provide services to those in need in Clinton County.”
Supporting United Way has become a cornerstone tradition of LyondellBasell’s continued commitment of giving back to the community. The yearly campaign helps to fund programs that people in the Clinton community have come to rely upon.
“I’d like to thank our employees at the site for their continued support of this great program,” said Clinton Plant Site Manager Christopher Cain. “It starts with them and without their participation and the backing of LyondellBasell, none of this would be possible.”
Nationally, LyondellBasell employees and the company contributed more than $1.9 million to United Way agencies in the 2012-13 campaign.
“By partnering with LyondellBasell, we are creating a brighter future so that all individuals have the education they need to get a job that supports a family throughout a lifetime and good health,” McCulloh said.
