Volunteers Improve Outdoor Learning Space for Local Youth

Company donates materials on 15th annual LyondellBasell Global Care Day
The 15th annual LyondellBasell Global Care Day is a worldwide community service initiative involving thousands of volunteers where the company has operations. Workers in 20 countries across six continents will mobilize all on the same day.
LyondellBasell’s Houston Refinery volunteers 150 Houston Refining volunteers will be making several upgrades to the Galena Park Early Head Start – Becker Early Childhood Center outdoor playground and backyard area. Other plans include improving the drainage, building new planter boxes for the children to grow food and a pergola to give them a shaded outdoor space. Other activities include general clean-up including washing of the playground equipment, planting flowers, and removing the existing vegetable boxes and new park benches.
WHEN: Saturday, May 17, 2014; 7:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.
