LyondellBasell Names New Site Manager at Jackson Plant

JACKSON, Tenn., Aug. 15, 2011 -- LyondellBasell has named Rebecca “Becky” White site manager of its Jackson Plant.

White has more than 30 years of experience in the chemical industry and comes to Jackson from LyondellBasell’s Clinton, Iowa, plant.  She succeeds Matt Lenker who is being transferred to Houston. White has held leadership roles in operations; quality and customer supply chain; quality and laboratory management; and health, safety and environment. Most recently she was the polymers operations manager at Clinton.

“The Jackson site has excellent safety and environmental records and workers who are focused on doing their best,” White said. “I look forward to being part of that team and of the Jackson community.”

Her most recent community involvement includes the boards of trustees of the American Red Cross Gateway Chapter, the Mercy Hospital Foundation and Gateway United Way, all in Clinton. She graduated from the Leadership Institute of the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Iowa of the Iowa Association of Business & Industry.

White holds a bachelor of science degree majoring in chemical and petroleum refining engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.  She is an American Society of Quality certified professional and holds numerous quality auditing certifications, is a registered quality systems lead auditor and co-wrote two editions of an ASQ ISO 9000 book.

Born in Odessa, Texas, but reared in Colorado, her interests include boating and reading. She and her husband, Bened Roth, have four children.

The Jackson Plant, operated by LyondellBasell subsidiary Equistar Chemicals LP, is a polypropylene compounding facility. It combines polypropylene resin with other materials to enhance their physical properties and prepare them for specific customer applications, such as automotive parts and home appliances. The site has approximately 100 employees and contractors who have worked more than 341,000 safe hours. It has never had a process-safety event. The 13-acre plant is at 1035 Flex Drive.
