Volunteers Brighten Center for Abused and Neglected Children

Employees and friends give back on 14th annual LyondellBasell Global Care Day

LyondellBasell employees will participate in community service around the world on Saturday, April 13. The activities are part of Global Care Day, LyondellBasell’s worldwide day of community service taking place in 2013 for the 14th consecutive year.  The worldwide event inspires employees to invest their time and talent to address specific community concerns.  Volunteers will complete projects in 67 communities in 20 countries in 2013.

LyondellBasell’s Corpus Christi Complex volunteers will provide maintenance to a butterfly garden, trimming trees around the facility, cleaning flower beds, planting a vegetable garden and cleaning The Ark’s storage facility. This is the fourth year in a row that the Corpus Christi plant volunteers have assisted The Ark.

WHEN: Saturday, April 13, 2013; 8 - noon -- Best photo op time 9-11 a.m.

WHO: 65+ volunteers from LyondellBasell’s Corpus Christi Plant including workers, family and friends.

The Ark Assessment Center and Emergency Shelter for Youth, a facility for abused and neglected children, is open around the clock. It offers children from birth to 17 years an emergency shelter, assessment and prevention services, and much more.www.ark4kids.com
