The Ferrara site and technical center is part of a multi-company complex located in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy near the Po River. This site has a long and illustrious history in the polyolefins industry and continues to focus on this tradition of innovation. Approximately 800 employees work at the site, which includes the Giulio Natta Research Center with its pilot plant and laboratories, catalyst production facilities and polymer manufacturing operations.
Our Ferrara site is now the world's largest site for Ziegler-Natta catalyst development and production and is fully integrated with basic research, process and product development. The polymer manufacturing units produce polypropylene and advanced polyolefin resins that are used in a wide variety of applications including food packaging, medical products, automotive components and much more.
