In 2023, LYB completed the acquisition of Mepol Group, expanding its portfolio of recycled, high-performance technical compounds through the Eco Meplen polypropylene compound portfolio. With operations in Italy and Poland, Mepol is integrated into the Advanced Polymer Solutions (APS) business unit, strengthening our ability to transform post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste into high-quality, tailor-made Eco Meplen solutions.

Produced using recycled materials sourced from Mepol’s own recycling facilities and supported by rigorous process control and in-house testing, the Eco Meplen portfolio meets demanding industry standards across transportation, furniture and consumer goods markets. With strategic locations across Europe, Mepol enhances plastic waste management and compound supply, enabling a seamless cycle of recycling, product design and manufacturing — accelerating innovation and advancing our commitment to a circular and sustainable future.
