Technology centers

LYB technology centers, strategically located around the world, play a vital role in product research, innovation and development. Our engineers, scientists and technicians focus on application development, product characterization and the development of advanced process technologies and catalysts. Their goal is to deliver to our customers superior products and technical services.

Our advancements in technology trace back to scientists Karl Ziegler and Giulio Natta, who were jointly awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1963 for their breakthrough discoveries in the creation of polyethylene and polypropylene.
