In a May 2025 episode of the LYB Podcast, LYB Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer Andrea Brown shared her perspective on the evolving sustainability landscape and highlighted key takeaways from the 2024 Sustainability Report, including its theme of "Vision to value."
Andrea's insights are cultivated by two decades of experience helping shape the sustainability agenda, working with government energy policies, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and small companies scaling circular business models. She discussed how she leverages that experience to lead a globally diverse team focused on translating LYB sustainability commitments into tangible, business-driven outcomes.
Andrea highlighted a strong 2024 for sustainability within LYB, marked by record safety performance and the groundbreaking of MRT-1, the first commercial-scale catalytic chemical recycling facility powered by MoReTec technology. She also spotlighted the Value Enhancement Program, which delivered significant CO₂ savings in LYB processing facilities in a single year.
And while work remains to be done, Andrea expressed pride in how far LYB has come in just a few years, turning its sustainability ambitions into action — and action into value —for the company and its customers alike.
