SHANGHAI – April 21, 2026 – LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB) is participating in CHINAPLAS 2026 (April 21–24) in Shanghai, China. Under the theme “Solutions for a Better Tomorrow,” LYB is showcasing market-focused polymer innovation and value-chain collaboration to help address evolving regional customer needs across mobility, packaging, infrastructure, healthcare, and modern living.

Mobility: supporting the full spectrum of automotive evolution
LYB helps automakers advance both EV and ICE platforms with material solutions that improve performance, safety, lightweighting, design flexibility and circularity across key vehicle systems.
At the show, LYB is collaborating with Li Auto and InResst to launch an ocean recycling co-creation initiative, focused on developing high-value automotive materials from recycled marine waste fishing gear.
Packaging: helping brands protect products and stand out
LYB helps brand owners and converters enhance product protection, freshness and shelf appeal with packaging solutions that can be tailored using custom colors, special effects and functional processing additives.
In China, LYB is working with Hebei Hongmaozhi Cap Co., Ltd. to support advanced materials for beverage closures and packaging applications that meet performance, quality and efficiency requirements.
Healthcare: advancing safety, quality and performance
LYB helps support safer, high-quality medical devices and healthcare packaging with materials designed for consistent performance and regulatory compliance.
At CHINAPLAS, the Purell portfolio is honored with the Industry Leadership Award from AdsalePlastics Network, recognizing its impact and innovation across the industry.
Consumer goods: supporting durability and performance in everyday living
LYB provides durable material solutions that support long service life, operational reliability and efficiency in everyday applications ranging from luggage and home appliances to pipes, wire and cable.
At the booth, LYB highlights its ongoing collaboration with Samsonite, where mechanically recycled CirculenRecover polymers are used in Samsonite’s Octolite Neo luggage collection for the APAC and Middle East markets.
