The LyondellBasell Edison Plant produces catalysts that are used to create Polyolefins. Our Polyolefins are used to create a variety of products, which includes auto parts, home furnishing, toys, containers, medical products, syringes, and clothing. Established as Dehls and Stein in 1929, the LyondellBasell Edison Plant continues to celebrate a rich history, with over 90 years of operation and numerous generations of local families working at the facility.
The Edison Plant is an integral part of the local economy. Property taxes paid by LyondellBasell help support the local schools and government services. The Edison Plant supports the community through donations to organizations such as Edison Fire Department, Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County, and Middlesex County Community College, to name a few.
The safety of the community, our operations and our employees is a primary focus. GoalZERO is our commitment to operating safely with zero injuries and zero process safety, product safety, environmental, and security incidents. The LyondellBasell GoalZERO standards apply to all employees, contractors and suppliers performing work at the sites.
