Operations & history

The LyondellBasell Morris Plant produces Ethylene, Propylene, Low-Density Polyethylene, High-Density Polyethylene, and Linear Low-Density Polyethylene used to create a variety of products. Products include textiles, food packaging, home furnishings, automotive exteriors, medical products, and wire and cable coatings.

The Morris Plant is an integral part of the local economy. Property taxes paid by LyondellBasell help support the local schools and government services. The plant supports the community through donations to organizations such as We Care of Grundy County, Morris Hospital, local first responders, Morris YMCA and Joliet Junior College.

The safety of the community, our operations and our employees is a primary focus. GoalZERO is our commitment to operating safely with zero injuries and zero process safety, product safety, environmental, and security incidents.
