Elevating Haier appliances to new performance levels

Not long ago, home appliance manufacturers had to choose between performance and energy efficiency in the products they made. Today, manufacturers like Haier are asking themselves, "Why choose?"

It's why Haier partnered with LYB to find a long-lasting, energy-efficient material solution for their Casarte brand of high-end water heaters. LYB drew on its vast experience with polybutene-1 (PB-1), a proven material for continuous hot water environments, for the solution.

The result? Casarte water heater tanks, made from PB-1 resins, are designed to be lighter, durable, and energy-efficient — offering advantages over materials like copper or stainless steel, which can be heavier, prone to corrosion and less efficient.

By pushing the boundaries of what's possible with polymers, LYB has helped Haier launch several Casarte water heater models worldwide made from PB-1.
