Emergency response

Bayport Choate maintains a highly trained Emergency Response Team with 140 members organized into fire, HAZMAT, rescue and medical response groups. Equipped with firefighting and hazmat equipment the team trains year-round and collaborates with Channel Industries Mutual Aid to ensure readiness for any emergency.

Bayport Choate also utilizes the Community Awareness Emergency Response (CAER) system. It is a smartphone app developed by the East Harris County Manufacturers Association to provide emergency information about industrial incidents and general information about flaring, noise, unusual odors and emergency response drills. Anyone can sign up to receive CAER alerts via the app.

Community connection

We listen and engage with Bayport and surrounding communities on events, efforts and concerns that matter most.
