Patel will lead the board of the organization for a two-year term beginning on January 1, 2019.

While maintaining its original focus to promote Responsible Care® product safety and occupational safety best practices throughout the industry, the ICCA is also actively engaged in energy, chemical health policy, and climate and sustainable development issues, promoting the role of the industry in advancing solutions to these global challenges.
The ICCA is recognized as a key stakeholder in various settings, including the United Nations, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and the International Energy Agency.
Patel continues to serve as chairman of the ACC and on the boards of the Greater Houston Partnership and Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas.
