LyondellBasell Shares Approved for Listing on NYSE

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- LyondellBasell Industries N.V. today announced that shares of its common stock are expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Oct. 14, 2010.  Class A ordinary shares will trade under the symbol LYB and Class B ordinary shares under the LYB.B symbol.

LyondellBasell currently has approximately 566 million ordinary shares outstanding, including approximately 337 million Class A ordinary shares and approximately 229 million Class B ordinary shares.  The Class A shares have been trading in the over-the-counter market under the symbol LALLF and the Class B shares under LALBF.  The combined daily trading volume for the two classes has averaged 3.1 million shares since May 1.  Recent financial results are available at www.lyondellbasell.com/earnings .
