HOUSTON, February 11, 2011 – LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB) today issued the following statement concerning the recent fire at Enterprise Products at Mont Belvieu, Texas:
“LyondellBasell is currently returning the olefins units at Channelview to the same feedstock slate in place prior to supply disruptions caused by Enterprise’s Mont Belvieu fire.
“At La Porte, we have been able to increase our olefins feedstock supply flexibility using alternate pipelines which will allow us to increase operating rates. We are continuing to address logistics that will enable us to return to full rates.”
