HONG KONG, November 18, 2008 – LyondellBasell Industries is pleased to announce the launch of Alastian, its no-frills online polyolefins business, in China, India and Vietnam.
“Our web-based channel offers an easy, convenient and reliable new way to buy high- quality PP and PE,” said Fulco van Geuns, Head of Alastian Asia. “LyondellBasell is one of the first suppliers to offer a completely online service in the region.”
Alastian customers have access to a broad range of prime polypropylene (PP), high density polyethylene (HDPE) and low density polyethylene grades (LDPE) at competitive prices, with trimmed-down service levels. Selected from among the LyondellBasell products most in demand, the resins are used in applications ranging from injection molding and packaging to textiles and blow molding.
For nearly five years, Alastian has been serving customers in Europe and Turkey, and is currently available to customers in Russia and the United States.
