A trend emerging in the automotive industry is the development of an all-polypropylene body panel. Recent advances in polypropylene and compounding technologies have raised the performance profile of resins from LyondellBasell. Our high-performance polyolefins are viable, cost-effective alternatives to body panel components like tailgates, fenders, spoiler , etc. made with steel, engineering thermoplastics or thermosets .
