Agustin Izquierdo is executive vice president and chief financial officer for LyondellBasell, a leader in the global chemical industry creating solutions for everyday sustainable living.
He is responsible for leading the company’s Tax, Investor Relations, Financial Planning and Analysis and Reporting, Accounting, Treasury, Audit, Corporate Development and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) functions. Izquierdo most recently served as senior vice president, Olefins and Polyolefins (O&P) - Americas and Refining.
Prior to joining LyondellBasell in 2022 as vice president, Strategy and Finance, Intermediates and Derivatives (I&D), Izquierdo held roles with increasing responsibility at BASF from 2009 to 2022, including general manager; business director; and vice president, Planning, Finance and Digital. He previously served in Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division, where he spent nearly a decade working in corporate finance, debt restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets.
Izquierdo holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science and a master’s degree in engineering from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, as well as a masters degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a board member of the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston and a board member of Performing Arts Houston.
