Dale Friedrichs is executive vice president, chief technology and safety officer for LyondellBasell (LYB), a leader in the global chemical industry creating solutions for everyday sustainable living. In this role, Friedrichs has responsibility for all manufacturing support functions, including Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Engineering, Manufacturing Operational Excellence, Maintenance, Reliability and Turnarounds, Research and Development, and the Value Enhancement Program. He also has responsibility for Cybersecurity and the successful execution of major capital projects globally.
Prior to this appointment, Friedrichs served as senior vice president, Human Resources and Global Projects for LYB. His career spans more than 30 years, and he has held numerous leadership positions in global HSE and manufacturing, including vice president, Global HSE, and site manager for six LYB manufacturing locations along the Gulf Coast.
Friedrichs is a graduate of Texas A&M University with bachelor’s degrees in ocean engineering and civil engineering.
